Help for students in Kenya

I'm going back to Kenya and I'm fundraising to buy resources and educational materials for two Special Educational Needs units. Last September, I spent a month there, working closely with teachers to improve the teaching and learning for students with autism.
100% of the money raised will go directly to buying essential resources for these units such as: books, mattresses, hygiene items, stationary, visual props, sensory and tactile resources, sensory aids, CD players, and uniforms. I will be buying most of these items in Kenya and I will personally deliver them.

The two public schools are based in Kakamega – a town in western Kenya with a population of 100,000 people, half of whom live on less than $1.25 per day.
Musaa Primary School has 637 students, 20 of whom are in the SEN unit. In my time there, we practised using drawings and sign language to improve students' understanding of verbal language. The teacher, Elisabeth, is very keen to start using pictures and symbols to help her students express their needs.
Joyce and Immaculate are SEN teachers in Nabongo Primary School. In 2006 they set up a special needs unit in a mainstream public school at a time when people still believed that conditions like autism are contagious. They now lead classes of 22 children each!
A large part of their job is to visit families in Kakamega and surrounding villages, to talk to them about autism and provide support. Together we visited many households and we also delivered activities to encourage students' participation and interaction with their peers. Joyce and Immaculate would be so grateful, if together we offered them the resources to help their students develop independent skills.
Unfortunately, the resources in both these schools are extremely limited. The schools receive some public funding, but it rarely reaches the SEN units, which means classes don’t have essentials like pens, paper or soap.
