<div>Our father Rusty Smith suffered a heart attack on Thursday morning 01/09/25 while at work and had to be rushed to the Columbus Regional Hospital where he has received wonderful care a a lot of treatment! He had two stents placed due to 100% blockage and a 90% blockage and will eventually have to have two more stents placed where he has another 70% and 80% blockage which is being treated in the meantime with medications until he fully recovers from the first stent procedure! They couldn’t do it all at once afraid that it would be too much on his body at one time and to see how he would respond to this first before deciding on further intervention. He is diabetic so of course healing and recovery is not as it would be on a patient that wasn’t diabetic. Right now his kidneys are functioning at 12% due to the heart attack and the procedure that he had to undergo due to the emergency. The medical staff have started him on lasix in hopes that he will start to produce more urine on his own without the needed help from dialysis! He has a very long road ahead of him to make a full recovery and will be out of work. He does not have medical insurance and is going to have quite the medical bills and expenses from all of this. Our father has a huge heart of gold and he would give the shirt of off his back for anyone in need! We are taking it day by day and the least that we can do is try to get help for him with finances and medical bills to take some of the stress off of him during this very difficult time. We appreciate any help that we can get for him! Please keep the prayers coming as well! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!❤️
