<div>On 21 September 2026 a fire broke out in the attic of the independent school Sainte-Marie in Saint-Père-Marc-en-Poulet, France.

<div>All 270 pupils, including 120 boarders, were evacuated safely. Luckily no one was injured.

<div>The fire destroyed the part of the building used for administration and student accommodation. The classrooms themselves were not affected, but the community has lost a large amount of the ordinary equipment it needs to house its pupils and continue its daily life.

</div>
<div>They need to replace what was lost: bedding, clothing, liturgical vestments (albs, chasubles, copes) and altar missals among other things.
</div>

</div>
<div>The school needs the basic tools required for a school that forms children and keeps the traditional Mass.
