My name is Jack Dalton, and I am The Kid Conservationist! In 2021, at the age of 10, I wrote a children's book, Kawan the Orangutan, Lost in the Rainforest. For every book bought or donated, a tree is planted in the rainforest of Indonesia critical to orangutan survival.

This important book showcases the animals of the rainforest, teaching children about the very special relationship between mother and baby orangutan. Children and adults alike enjoy the fun story and beautiful illustrations, while also learning how important orangutans are to the rainforest. Children are inspired by a story written by a kid, and they receive a certificate showcasing they planted a tree in Indonesia, empowering them to begin their journey as a Kid Conservationist !

To date, thousands of copies have been donated throughout the world including:

-Over 1,000 copies donated to school districts and libraries throughout New England

-St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis, TN

-The Sekolah Alam Leuser School in Sumatra, Indonesia
