Medicine for Venezuela Patients

In Venezuela people die for lack of medicines as crucially vital as antibiotics, anticonvulsants or cancer drugs.
Donamed.com is the first website, specifically designed to connect people (or organizations) who have medicines or medical supplies to donate, with patients all around the country. Donamed, not only provides an online service, we also collect donations of medicines with the help of volunteers in other countries, and we work in raising funds to transport these donations to Venezuela. Once in Venezuela, with the help of allied organizations throughout the country, we distribute those medicines.
After 2 years with this project, we can count with almost 30,000 registered users, more than 6,000 donations through our platform, more than 60 kilograms of important and specific medicines shipped to Venezuela and all of this being just a team of 2 people and few volunteers self-funding everything.
To ship 1 kilogram of medicines to Venezuela costs around 25 USD and 1 kilogram of medicines represents the medical treatment for 30 people. We have right now more than 100 kilos of medicines waiting for the funds to be shipped to Venezuela and we keep receiving medicine donations offers from all around the world but we cannot accept them until we are sure we have the money to pay the shipping cost.
As the website is currently a very useful tool for Venezuelans and Venezuelan organizations to search and to donate medicines we have to make sure it still working and to do so we need to do a few improvements.
80% of the money raised here will be used to pay for medicines and shipments of medicine donations to Venezuela. Photos and videos will be constantly uploaded for everyone to see what we are doing.
20% of the money raised here will be used to improve the online service we provide.
We have achieved wonderful things being just a team of 2 people. Can you imagine what we would achieve if we add 20, 200 or 2 thousand more people to this project?
Two years ago, we committed ourselves to help our country in every possible way, today, more than ever, we ask for your support and solidarity so that we can continue helping.

En Venezuela, las personas mueren por falta de medicamentos tan crucialmente vital como antibióticos, anticonvulsivos o medicamentos oncológicos.
Donamed.com es el primer sitio web, diseñado específicamente para conectar personas (u organizaciones) que tienen medicamentos o suministros médicos para donar, con pacientes de todo el país. Donamed, no solo brinda un servicio en línea, también recolectamos donaciones de medicamentos con la ayuda de voluntarios en otros países, y trabajamos en recaudar fondos para transportar estas donaciones a Venezuela. Una vez en Venezuela, con la ayuda de organizaciones aliadas en todo el país, distribuimos esos medicamentos.
Después de 2 años con este proyecto, podemos contar con casi 30,000 usuarios registrados, más de 6,000 donaciones concretadas a través de nuestra plataforma, más de 60 kilogramos de medicamentos importantes y específicos enviados a Venezuela y todo esto siendo solo un equipo de 2 personas y pocos voluntarios autofinanciando todo.
Enviar 1 kilogramo de medicinas a Venezuela cuesta alrededor de 25 USD y 1 kilogramo de medicinas representa el tratamiento médico para 30 personas. Tenemos ahora más de 100 kilos de medicamentos esperando a que los fondos se envíen a Venezuela y seguimos recibiendo ofertas de donaciones de medicamentos de todo el mundo, pero no podemos aceptarlos hasta que estemos seguros de que tenemos el dinero para pagar el costo de envío.
Ademas, como el sitio web es actualmente una herramienta muy útil para que tanto personas como organizaciones venezolanas busquen y donen medicamentos, tenemos que asegurarnos de que siga funcionando y para hacerlo necesitamos hacerle algunas mejoras.
El 80% del dinero recaudado aquí se usará para comprar medicamentos y pagar envíos de medicamentos a Venezuela. Fotos y videos serán cargados constantemente para que todos puedan ver lo que estamos haciendo.
El 20% del dinero recaudado aquí se utilizará para mejorar el servicio en línea que brindamos.
Hemos logrado cosas maravillosas siendo solo un equipo de 2 personas. ¿Te imaginas lo que lograríamos si agregamos 20, 200 o 2 mil personas más a este proyecto?
