<div>A <strong>Laika</strong> la rescatamos de la calle con el fin de rehabilitarla y encontrarle un hogar lleno de amor. La llevamos al veterinario para asegurarnos de que no tuviera enfermedades como moquillo o parvovirus, la desparasitamos, vacunamos y la ayudamos a recuperar su peso.

<div>Unas semanas después de rescatarla, para nuestra sorpresa, dio a luz a un solo cachorrito. No sabíamos que estaba embarazada, ni lo detectaron en la veterinaria. Cuando su cachorrito cumplió 4 meses de edad encontró un hogar responsable, pero ella sigue esperando el suyo.

<div>Actualmente, Laika necesita tratamiento médico ya que cuando fuimos a esterilizarla, le encontraron un pequeño tumor. Es un TVT, una enfermedad común en perritos callejeros que se transmite por contacto sexual. Nos explicaron que puede tratarse con éxito con quimioterapia, y nuestra intención es curarla para que pronto pueda encontrar el hogar amoroso y seguro que tanto merece.
