Don't let my friend become homeless

 THE SHORT VERSION

So many people were so kind to donate money almost two years ago in May 2017 to help my friend Andy who was and still is going through a very, very difficult time in his life with both physical and mental health problems.  The money we raised was invaluable and helped Andy through some very tough times. We are hoping you can help again and are also hoping we find some new contributors.

I’m asking you once again to open your hearts, as you always do, and donate as much as you can to help my friend.  The money lasted several months but he is now again in danger of becoming homeless, not having sufficient food and not being able to afford to pay for his worsening health problems. YOU CAN DONATE RIGHT HERE AT GO FUND ME or by sending a check it to me at 77 Pond Avenue, Suite 1103, Brookline, MA 02445. Make the check payable to me as we don’t have this set up as a Section 501(c)(3) charity. That would only have cost us money and time dealing with the bureaucracy.

Thanks so much for your help. I am forever grateful.

Our goal is $5,000. Please be as generous as possible. Of course, any amount is welcome and helps a lot.

THE LONG VERSION:

So many people were so kind to donate money almost two years ago in May 2017 to help my friend Andy who was and still is going through a very, very difficult time in his life with both physical and mental health problems.  The money we raised was invaluable and helped Andy through some very tough times. We are hoping you can help again and are also hoping we find some new contributors.

My dear friend Andy has a multitude of physical health problems including a problematic leg that has required multiple surgeries, Peptic Ulcer Disease, asthma and chronic anemia. Add to that his mental health problems including OCD, anxiety and severe bipolar depression. On top of it all, his family puts the “dys” in dysfunctional, and he had a very tough childhood that included both physical and mental abuse. It’s not a pretty picture.

Despite all these problems and facing almost insurmountable odds, Andy has worked extremely hard to improve his life and overcome huge obstacles -- beyond what I could ever imagine. He lives in a small apartment by himself and because of his mental health problems is not in a position to reduce expenses by getting a roommate. He has cut his budget to the bare bones and is working part-time but because of his physical and mental disorders, he cannot work a full-time job, and is still miles away from making ends meet.

He is in now, once again, in danger of becoming homeless, not having sufficient food and not being able to afford to pay for his worsening health problems, both mental and physical.

I am trying, with your help, to raise $5,000 to carry him to the finish line and to able to live and make ends meet for the next several months or so, while his physical and mental health problems continue to improve. I am asking you to contribute whatever you can to help out this brave, determined and gutsy young man. It would be great if you could take the extra step and forward this to your family and friends and/or post something on Facebook or other social media sites.

Our goal is $5,000. Please be as generous as possible. Of course, any amount is welcome and helps a lot. As was the case two years ago, I had to twist Andy’s arm to let me to do this fundraiser because he was reluctant to go this route. But now he realizes once again that there is no other choice.

YOU CAN DONATE RIGHT HERE AT GO FUND ME. Or if it’s easier to send a check, you can mail it to me at 77 Pond Avenue, Suite 1103, Brookline, MA 02445. Make the check payable to me as we don’t have this set up as a Section 501(c)(3) charity. That would only have cost us money and time dealing with the bureaucracy.

Thanks so much for your help. I am eternally grateful.
