Don Michael Prager wants to LIVE!
Unlike too many of us who like to ignore our impending mortality, Don is extremely aware of his mortality with every breath he takes. Don was diagnosed more than 3 years ago with the End Stage Terminal Disease, “Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF)” and his life expectancy at the time was 3-5 years. Don now wears oxygen 24/7 which definitely helps but it also take its toll in many ways and does not relieve the constant “drowning” feeling that Don lives with as scar tissue on his lungs continues to build.

Through all of the challenges this disease has brought on and has yet to come, one constant has remained; Don’s desire and will to inspire others. Don has counseled many people in the IPF Community across the globe. He manages a You Tube Channel called “Overcoming My Lung Disease” which chronicles his IPF Journey, including inspirational messages, raw humanity and medical options that are available. #LiveInspired
Don is also an accomplished musician and songwriter. Don is a long time member of “The Paper Bag” Family, he is currently the lead singer of the Rockabilly Band, “The Gas Guzzlers”, and half of the acoustic duo, “County Line Road”, all while on Oxygen. (Former lead singer of Planet Groove).

Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is a Terminal Disease which affects an estimated 200,000 people in the United States and estimated 5,000,000 people worldwide per year. There is no cure…for now. In the meantime, there are some treatment options that are available to Don that have been proven to prolong his life, most of which insurance will not cover. Since Don was forced to leave his job due to IPF, many of these treatment became unavailable.

YOU can help Don LIVE AND INSPIRE longer by helping to make more treatment options available.
All monies raised through this fundraiser will be deposited directly from “Go Fund Me” into Don’s bank account and will be used to pay for additional medical treatments, travel expenses for out of state medical treatments, as well as relieving some of the burden caused by debt accrued since Don’s diagnosis.

he would never squander that gift of time.
