<div>En 2008 se confirmó que el cuerpo de mi papá genera un anticuerpo HLA-B27, lo que confirma la enfermedad autoinmune de la Espondilitis Anquilosante, la cual no tiene cura. Este antígeno hiberna en el cuerpo y sólo se puede administrar tratamiento para intentar controlar la enfermedad y que no ataque articulaciones y ojos.

<div>En el caso de mi papá, esta enfermedad ha derivado en desprendimiento de la retina y la eventual necesidad de cirugía a muy corto plazo para no perder la vista, así como la desviación de la columna lumbar L1, L2 y L3.

<div>En este momento el tema más urgente a resolver es la cirugía en los ojos para que no pierda la vista, y no contamos con Seguro Social, por lo que tenemos que hacer una inversión aproximada de 60 mil pesos para cubrir honorarios médicos, estudios, intervención quirúrgica, medicamentos y rehabilitación.

<div>La espondilitis anquilosante es una enfermedad autoinmune y artritis inflamatoria crónica que afecta principalmente la columna vertebral y las articulaciones sacroilíacas. Con el tiempo, la inflamación crónica puede llevar a la fusión de las vértebras, causando pérdida de movilidad en la columna. Aunque no tiene cura, los tratamientos, como medicamentos antiinflamatorios y biológicos, pueden controlar los síntomas y ralentizar la progresión de la enfermedad. La condición también puede causar uveítis, una inflamación ocular que, si no se trata adecuadamente, podría llevar a complicaciones graves como glaucoma o ceguera.
