In March of 2016, after remodeling our home, Don started getting a cold, we thought. After 2 mos. and several Dr. appts., we found out he had leukemia. In May, he underwent his first chemo treatment, with 2 other chemo treatments following over the next 6 mos. God was good to us and he went in to remission for 1 1/2 yrs., but he is facing leukemia again, This time he has to have a stem cell (bone marrow) transplant. This will be a hard procedure to go through and will take up to 1 year to fully recover. This treatment will start immediately with 3 weeks of chemo first, then the transplant. Don will be out of work for at least 6-8 mos. and there is no guarantee he will recover enough to return to work once the transplant is done. These funds will help us pay for the growing medical bills as they present themselves and help us to keep our home without having to sell.
