HELPING DOMINICA - AFTER MARIA

Donation protected
There's a beautiful little rock in the Caribbean that most people have never heard of, and most confuse with the Dominican Republic. It's the island where Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed. It's nicknamed the Nature Island because of its pure beauty and the peoples love of the land. It's mountainous. It has 365 rivers, one for every day of the year. More waterfalls than you can count. And, so many beautiful people.

It's my husbands home.
It's where my child's Granny and aunties and cousins live.
It's where we've had many visits playing in oceans and black sand, drinking coconut water, eating roasted plaintains, drinking kubuli beer and sipping on spiced rum.

It was one of the most beautiful places on earth.

And, on September 17, 90 percent of it was destroyed.

Most everyone is homeless.
There is no running water.
No electricity.
No food.
Very little medical supplies.
No way to communicate.

And, I'm doing the only thing I can think of ... asking for help from the world I'm connected to.

My husband, Gregory Harry, is making is way to Dominica this week. First we will take as much as we can in suitcases. Then we will either ship supplies or find the best way to get them there fast. They are in need of everything basic; water, baby formula, diapers, flash lights, solar powered lights, food and more.

If you donate here, we will make sure it goes straight to people in need.

Anything helps.
