Dominica Family Hurricane Maria

Donation protected

The islandI know as home, my birthplace, where I took my first steps, went to school, fell in love and grew up in was pulverized and destroyed beyond recognition.  A Category-Five known as Hurricane Maria  ravaged havoc, death, and despair September 21. God has blessed me and my immediate families lives were spared. While we are eternally grateful they are alive, there is no electricity, very little means of communicating with the outside world, clean drinking water is gone, and when the restoration efforts will begin is unknown. My mother, sisters, brothers, cousins and neighbors lost everything but the clothes they had on the night Maria hit. As I post this, 10 of my friends I grew up unfortunately lost their lives. They left kids and loved ones behind. The death count is going to grow as no amount of preparation could stop the rivers and ocean from taking lives.  Amongst losing transportation, homes, toys, appliances, dishes, tv's and clothes, the loss of our loved ones makes the future appear dark.
I created this Page because I  had so many friends, family and co-workers  reach out to me wanting to help. This is the quickest way possible as the list of needs is growing and growing. Any amount is greatly appreciated!! Even if you are unable to donate please share and continue to pray for the rebuild of my island!
Eternally greatful and thankful for all the kind words, texts, donations but most of all -  the gift of life and the opportunity I have to help!

Thank You
