Dome Grown Produce has been providing fresh vegetables to the surrounding community for 4+ years and it is time to expand! Currently, we have been growing on about a half acre for a small farmers market and a small CSA program for 12 families. Dome Grown Produce wants to expand vegetable production onto a new one acre field this season. This could easily quadruple production! With your help we can start producing more fresh food for local restaurants, Central Oregon Locavore , more farmers markets, and provide fresh food to Agricultural Connections . The people in this community will benefit tremendously from all of the locally grown, nutritious, and flavor-packed produce in more convenient locations! Our farm wants to help keep the local produce flowing and growing in our thriving community!

These are the current needs for this expansion to get started right away, with the proper equipment:

2 Caterpillar Tunnel Kits - 14'x100' each. With these two simple greenhouses we can extend our spring and fall seasons, providing at least three or more extra months of fresh vegetables!
Half Acre Drip System - This system will help get precious water exactly where it is needed with minimal, if any, waste or runoff. Drip systems also help reduce disease, weeds, and excess dirt on crops.
Deer Fencing - We need to be able to protect all those precious vegetables! Dome Grown wants to feed the people, not the animals!
Compost/Manure/Cover Crops/Straw/Seeds - It takes a lot to feed and protect the soil around here. The field we are expanding into has had cows and pigs on it for a season or two, but we will need more amendments to get these crops jumpstarted and growing - we don't use chemical fertilizers at our farm!

Landscape fabric and Row Covers-Row covers come in handy for that quick protection for crops in spring and fall. Landscape fabric and special tools help warm the soil and make it easier for the crops to grow without weed pressure. That means more time for the vegetables and less time weeding!
What better way to start the New Year than by supporting a small local farm that wants to grow good food for you! You can be assured that all the produce coming from our farm is grown in a sustainable and loving environment. Our family eats the food too and we strive to grow it as safe and healthy as we can! We believe everyone should have access to local farm fresh vegetables and want to share more of our homegrown food with you!

We can achieve this goal with your help today. Did you get a little Christmas money, getting a tax refund, an end of the year bonus, or just love supporting good causes?? Every little bit will help our farm grow in more ways than one! The more that can be spent on small local farms, the more it directly helps the community and keeps those dollars out of the big grocery chains. Even a couple dollars will make a big difference!
As a "Thank you" to our community and our supporters, Dome Grown Produce will donate 20% of all the food grown in the new field is season to Neighbor Impact ! We will also continue to donate fresh vegetables from the whole farm in seasons to come.
