Steven James Downham, 42, of Manchester, the beloved husband of Tammy Lynn (Dreikosen) Downham, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at UCONN Medical Center. Born in Manchester, he was the son of Rosemarie (Bonneau) Downham and Dwight Downham III of Manchester. He earned a bachelor's degree in Hotel Management and Hospitality from MCC and had worked successfully for Marriott for many years. Steven was an avid sports fan, always cheering for the Boston Red Sox, the New York Jets and the UCONN Huskies. It gave him great joy coaching his daughter's soccer team and watching his daughter's dance recitals. Steve had a great love of music, movies and loved spending time with his family, especially in Aruba. He was fun, happy, thoughtful, a loyal friend, and loving father. In addition to his wife and parents, Steve is survived by his sweet girls, Kira Rose Downham and Alyssa Nicole Downham; his maternal grandmother Olive Bonneau of Manchester, his brother Dwight "Dennis" Downham IV and his wife Loreen of Manchester and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (August 18th) at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption, 29 Adams St. South, Manchester, followed by a casual reception at the British American Club, 73 Maple Street, also in Manchester. Be encouraged to bring a smile and a favorite memory of Steve to share.
