Dollars For Dee

I hate having to post this because it means that yet another one of our friends or loved ones are in need… As most of you may know, our sister in all things rock, Denise”Deedles” Mosher was diagnosed with stage 3B non small cell lung cancer.

Late October, early November Denise realized she wasn’t feeling right. She had a feeling it may have had to do with the lung she collapsed in 2017. An appointment was made with her doctor who ordered an X-ray and referred her to a pulmonary specialist. The pulmonary doctor showed concern about growths on the X-ray and ordered a CT scan to get a better look. He then ordered a biopsy of the growths and unfortunately confirmed they were indeed cancerous. From there the pulmonary doctor then referred Dee to an oncologist who also confirmed the same dreaded prognosis.

Together with the oncologist there was a treatment plan put in place which started this past week. Dee will be receiving 6 weeks of radiation daily and on the 1st week and last week, chemotherapy will be given daily as well.

Dee is a Philly girl born and raised and moved to Marlton, NJ with her husband Erik and daughter Daylyn in 2005 where they lived until they moved to Florida in 2012.

She was and still is an avid supporter of local, original music and a regular at The Pirates Den and The Cherrywood. When the Pirates Den burned down she was instrumental in putting together a benefit that was held to help the owner get back on his feet after losing his home and business.

She was a fan of such bands as The Hixon, Thunderbrew, Bleed, Unit, Without Warning and too many others to name.

The Moshers have long, hard battle ahead of them that has already involved a lot of missed work and lost pay and it’s only week two and the expenses will only continue to grow. They need our help to try and survive the long, difficult road to recovery.

Please show them how much we all care and give what you can, even if it’s a few dollars!!! There may be a benefit show in the near future so stay tuned for more details and updates on Dee’s progress.
