Since 2012, Morrison Mentors has been a trusted force for change across Long Island – empowering over 13,000 youth and families through hands-on STEM education, workforce development, and digital equity programs. From afterschool robotics to summer tech camps and device repair services for local seniors and businesses, our work has always been about more than education. It’s about building stronger, more connected communities.

Now, we’re ready to take that mission to the next level and we need your support!

️What We’re Building

We are raising funds to establish a permanent Innovation Hub in Hempstead – a state-of-the-art multifunctional community space where youth, families, and residents can learn, create, repair, and grow together. This facility will house:

• A Tech Repair Lab where residents can get devices fixed and young people train for jobs in IT support

• A Fab Lab and Maker Studio with 3D printers, laser cutters, and vinyl machines for product design, prototyping, and entrepreneurship

• A Business Incubator supporting youth and local entrepreneurs with tools, training, and mentorship

• A Digital Literacy Training Center for seniors, job seekers, and families bridging the digital divide

• A Community Learning Lounge for workshops, wellness sessions, and intergenerational mentorship

Why It Matters

In Hempstead and neighboring communities, too many families face barriers to STEM education basic digital access. Too many young people are disconnected from education and work. Too many residents don’t have a reliable space to learn new skills or start over.

This project changes that.
