Dolan Goes To American Idol!

Oh, hello there! My name is Dolan Leckliter, and you are most likely aware that I make music on occasion. In fact, it's been my dream to be a singer/songwriter for the majority of my life. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of auditioning for the producers of American Idol using my own original music, and guess what? They liked it! Wowzers! So they sent a video of me playing to the executive producers, and wouldn't you know it, they ALSO liked it! Sweet!
So what's next? Well, I've been invited to the private auditions in New Orleans. Whaaaaat? That's great! Indeed it is, HOWEVER they aren't exactly paying for me to get there. And as I've yet to strike it rich with my goldmining, I require a bit of assistance. My audition date is September 14th, which is not a great deal of time to try and gather funds, so I'm reaching out to you for any and all assistance you feel it in your heart to give!
I'm planning on flying in on the 13th, auditioning on the 14th, and flying home on the 15th, so it's not quite the grand trip I'd love it to be; however, I'll still need funds for a place to lay my head, transportation, food, and to try and cover some of the wages I'll be missing out on from not working because, unfortunately, bills are somehow a thing. Doing the math for all of this, I feel like I'm asking for a reasonable amount of money to help try and make sure my financial situation isn't completely thrown off by me trying to make this trip.
When I auditioned, I had no idea if the show was going to like my music, but I'm so excited at the response I've gotten. Having the chance for music I've written and played to be heard is a dream for me, and I feel like this is an opportunity I can't miss out on.
