DOGS LIVES MATTER

Hello, my name is Nicole and my fiance is Billy. We have 7 kids between us both, and 3 grandkids. We own three dogs. Smoke is the dad, Sassy is the mom, and Bella is the puppy. Smokey we have had since he was 6 weeks old and now is 5 years old, Sassy we got when she was 1.5 years old and now is almost 4 and then they had bella together. She is 7 months old now. Our kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, sisters, other family, friends, and Billy and I love our dogs so much. We got alot of money invested in our dogs. They aint dogs actually, they are apart of the family. We keep them updated on shots and in good health. We take very good care of our dogs. Anybody that knows us, knows that we take care of our dogs and they mean the world to this family. Today was a very emotional, sad, devastating, and just simply hurtful day. The Marion Police department shot Smokey today. Our family dog that would not hurt a fly is suffering from not one but three gunshot wounds. He is not an aggressive dog. He may look mean but hes the biggest baby of them all. He didn't deserve this. He runs around and barks but has NEVER bit anyone and would not have today. We asked why our dog was shot and we got two different stories. He was in our yard not harming anybody. They shot him to decease him but hes fighting. Hes a fighter. Hes not ready to leave his family just as we aint ready to let him go. Its going to cost us between 2500 and 3000 to get him the care he needs. We obvisouly dont have that kind of money and plus spent 600 just going to our hometown vet and getting some answers, advice, and reccomendations. He was shot twice once in head, neck, and once in his back. So my question is, why did they have to shoot him three times. One time was enough and for what barking at you. He didnt harm you or anybody else and now hes the one hurt and fighting for his life. So to all that see this we are in need of help so we can care for our family member.
