How many service dogs are a victim of serious trauma from the hands of thieves?
William, is that dog. He was dognapped, held for ransom, went blind overnight, and is on the brink of death unless he has immediate emergency procedures to save his life.
Will has an undefined mass above his heart that is closing in on his windpipe thus causing very labored breathing. William is now in critical condition and waiting for the life-saving surgery that will allow him to thrive.
Medical estimates for Will are now approaching $3,000 or more. His family has already paid for his work-up, which was costly, and needs your help to save his life. We must speed this up due to William's critical condition.
Will has always been very healthy until he and his family were traumatized. Our dad's Alzheimer's diagnosis gave thieves the opportunity to steal all of our families' money and real estate. The family is without any more funds to save him. William is a wonderful and selfless service dog; he has done nothing wrong; and under normal circumstances his family would be able to care for him themselves.
Will is on borrowed time at this point and time is running out. Please throw Will a bone. Will has the "will" to live, and with your help his life will be saved.

My "little man" William Farnsworth Flannery is an ambassador of good will for Yorkshire Terrier's in general, and as a comfort/service dog, he also brings happiness by visiting many people in San Diego.
William's story is a family story. I adopted him when he was six weeks old and a whopping two pounds, as cute and spunky as can be. My brother had spotted him and told me that there was a Yorkie that was born on our mother's birthday, April 10. We are a very close family and our mom passed suddenly from undiagnosed coronary blockage in 1985.
So, hearing a puppy was born (an Aries) on mom's birthday, I had to take a look. Seeing him was the clincher. Peppy, gutsy, confident, fun and outgoing all describe William. He is a Yorkie that believes "It Can Be Done."
Of course naming your pet is so important. In this case, I wanted to bring him into our family and to my mother's side of the family tree. Our great grandfather was an identical twin and born on April 1 (April Fools Day). There are many stories of the two brothers, William and Wolford. They were both Farnsworths and hailed from England. Yorkshire Terriers' roots are English so his name was chosen.
William Farnsworth Flannery joined our family and created our "3 Dogg Nite". Our family pets included him, "Spencer Oliver" (Shih Zu and our favorite Aunt Faye's "Katie Faye" (Maltese). William was the youngest and the littlest and yet a huge personality. Katie Faye assumed the "Mom" role of the Alpha dog; Spencer Oliver is a people person and differed to Katie...he is the family greeter. And, William, wanted to be the Alpha in the group and was told "No" by Katie. So, he is in the middle.

Campaign is being run on behalf of Joyce Flannery by family friend Devin DeVries in San Diego.
All funds go to the Flannerys and are being spent on the health needs of William. His Veterinarian diagnosed an object, suspected tumor (unknown whether benign or cancer) that is causing William much distress in his breathing. He is being treated for cough comfort until he can received further needed medical care. He was taken to emergency veterinarian. as he had experienced a seizure and his blood pressure was very high. Many tests were given and a plan of treatment developed. He is currently on anti seizure medication and blood pressure pills and has been on antibiotics. Originally he was too weak to undergo the testing that required him to be anesthetized and has been focused on getting stronger. He was just seen by his veterinarian and appears he is now strong enough to complete testing and surgery required.
The funds raised initially were used for his testing and his intensive care hospital stay. He now needs additional funds to complete the testing and so we are raising funds for the procedures needed. We believe that our goal amount will fund his remaining tests. After a final prognosis, his doctors will recommend a treatment plan that may be a surgery removing the tumor to continuing the treatment he is under now and a recommendation of what treatment is necessary.
William needs the tests regarding his heart, lungs and the seeming tumor and how fast or slow it is growing. The fundraising goal of this campaign is a professional estimate.
The intention of this campaign is to help finance medical needs of Will. The funds are deposited in an account and identified as such and a record of expenditures is kept. When the funds are needed for invoices for William, the funds are distributed directly to the correct business.
