doggy foster while pet mama volunteers abroad!
Howdy hoomans! Our names are Livie & Wolfie.
(if you hoomans are seeking doggy models, we're readily available)
My mama doesn't know this, but we created this fundraiser for her.
She will be volunteering for a non-profit in Mexico, at a children's home and need this paper stuff for travel expenses. But mostly for us to stay at a 'pup e. cheese', aka doggy day care :-)
The barkstory:

It has been one of my life long dreams and goals to volunteer abroad. This is something I’ve wanted to do since high school but never found the “right time”. Ever since I graduated from high school, I’ve been either working or attending school and taking care of my family. I've never had the opportunity to go volunteer or study abroad. My parents are immigrants and I have to help them with everything due to the language barrier. I went straight to college after high school and took so many classes to figure out what my calling would be. After years of trial and error, focusing on my family, I needed to find the answer to the 2 ultimate questions in life, "what do I want to be when I grow up?" and "what makes me happy?"
Finally, I discovered one of them! The call to volunteer abroad and help those who are less fortunate. I think it's unfortunate there are so many people out there who have the financial means to make a difference in the world, yet they ignore that fact. It irks me to the core. Which is why I am choosing to do my part, to make a small difference in the world. This will be my very first mission and the beginning of my volunteering journey. I wish to continue this even after retirement!

The organization she is volunteering at, is called Hogar Infantil. They are located in Chiapas, Mexico.
"Hogar Infantil is a children’s home that provides a nurturing environment where they may live, grow, and realize their dreams. Through education they will be given the tools to become healthy, independent, and productive citizens thus breaking the Cycle of Poverty that has plagued their lives."

Please check them out! They are largely funded by donations with minimal government help and would appreciate people helping spread the word since they are a smaller organization run mostly by volunteers and a small team of staff. Their US office is located here in Salem, Oregon!
(sounds like a fun place, wonder if they allow us 4 legged children...)
Woof! Wello!
My mama rescued us from transitional housing (aka animal shelter) and we've been with her for almost 6 years now. She needs to find us a good home to stay while she's gone. We thought about staying with other hoomans in their homes, but frankly, ya'll hoomans are much wilder than us. Also, we don't trust strangers. We got that "stranger danger" thing down since being in the womb. We love our mama, however we don't want to be those children who drags or slows their moms down. We ain't hooman infants. They're not even cute.
Thus, we resort to pup e. cheese. Because dogs trust other dogs. Ever heard the phrase "dog eat dog?" That's right, never. And just because we sniff butts doesn't mean we don't fancy the finer things. Just like hoomans, we splurge sometimes. But we also share. Some of this paper stuff will help my mama with her expenses.
My mama is leaving around Jan 2020 but she won't be able to depart if we have no place to stay & play. (insert sad puppy face) Your support will ensure quality care for 2 awesome pups and a contribution to a great cause. Two great causes, one donation! Doggy karma points anyone?
