Doggie Rescue Mission
Donation protected
Hey guys!
I’m starting of 2018 with a fundraiser for a NON profit organisation Monika’s Doggie Rescue.
Monika’s Doggie Rescue is a NO-KILL shelter that tries to save and rehome abandoned animals from death row in Sydney’s pounds. This means that if animals aren’t rehomed or fostered out, they remain in the Doggie shelter for life. Euthanasia is not an option at this rescue.
Although the name sounds like it’s only rescuing dogs, Monika’s Doggie rescue also rescues cats, rabbits, guinea pigs!
Monika’s Doggie Rescue ensures that every animal that comes in are microchipped, heartworm tested, and vaccinated by a veterinarian which means that the cost of just doing all this is generally about $350-$500.
In an organisation that is not-for-profit and has a no-kill policy, the cost of microchipping, heartwarming testing and vaccinating takes out a lot of their budget for food, treatment, litter and other needs for the animals.
So this year I’m hoping that we get to fundraise what these little fur babies are lacking.
At the moment, Monika’s Doggie Rescue is in URGENT need for topical heartworm treatment, Breeder’s choice cat litter, cat food, cable ties and latex gloves.
Looking online for the cheapest costs, we’re looking at:
Revolution Flea Heartworm Treatment 14 doses: $153.89- $184.89 depending on dog size (which means only 14 dogs get this treatment if we only get 14 doses)

And hopefully with the remaining money, we can get some treats and toys for the animals.
There are 200-500 dogs that come into Monika’s Doggie Rescue every year. Although I know we can’t cover the majority of pets (unless by miracle we get an abundance of funding) I hope we’re able to take it as far as we can.
The goal I have set is an ambiguous one just to see how far we can get with it.
Any donations that you want to make personally feel free to message me to drop it off with me!
