</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Olá,
</div>
<div>O meu nome é Helena, sou bailarina de dança contemporânea e professora de línguas.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Tenho endometriose severa.
</div>
</div>
<div>Mas infelizmente, a intervenção deixou-me com sequelas inesperadas:
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<ul>
<li>a fisioterapia neurológica para a lesão do plexo / a perna
</li>
<li>a fisioterapia respiratória para recuperar o diafragma
</li>
<li>a fisioterapia pélvica para recuperar a bexiga
</li>
<li>as consultas em neurocirurgia / neurologia / pneumologia / cirurgia torácica / ginecologia / urologia / consulta da dor
</li>
<li>os exames em neurologia / pneumologia / urologia
</li>
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Obrigadíssima. Do fundo do coração.
</div>

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hello,
</div>
<div>My name is Helena, I'm a contemporary dancer and language teacher.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have severe endometriosis. I've had to have five operations because of crippling pain and damage to several organs. In the last operation, in July this year, they had to remove multiple foci of endometriosis from various areas (including the diaphragm, the sciatic nerve, the psoas muscle and the ureter).
</div>
<div>The surgery helped a lot with the endometriosis, and I'm very grateful.
</div>
<div>But unfortunately, the operation left me with unexpected after-effects:
</div>
<div>I was left in a wheelchair because the nerve plexus in the pelvis (which also nerves my leg) was damaged.
</div>
<div>My bladder was affected and I had to learn how to self-empty my bladder using a catheter.
</div>
<div>And I get pains in my diaphragm, shortness of breath and faint easily - my lung capacity is down to 39 per cent.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm trying to find my way - with the help of physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, diagnostic tests and physical exercise. I want to train my left leg, my bladder, my diaphragm and my lungs so that I can get back to my old life. And above all, to dance again. I have made a lot of progress already, I am very happy - I am out of the wheelchair now, I can walk slowly, limping. And I need less and less catheters for the bladder. But there's still a long way to go. I want to train more and more to regain my independence. For the time being, I'm not able to work, but I need an income to pay for treatment, appointments and tests. I've been told that, above all for nerve recovery, it's essential to continue with physiotherapy for the first few months after surgery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That's why I'd be infinitely grateful if you could support me so that I can pay for it:
</div>
<ul>
<li>neurological physiotherapy for the plexus/leg injury
</li>
<li>respiratory physiotherapy to restore the diaphragm and lungs
</li>
<li>pelvic physiotherapy to recover the bladder
</li>
<li>neurosurgery / neurology / pulmonology / thoracic surgery / gynecology / urology / pain consultations
</li>
<li>neurology / pneumology / urology tests
</li>
<li>transport for the disabled to get to the hospital during hospitalization, treatment, appointments and tests - and adapted sports.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It would be an unbelievable joy for me if one day I could walk again, breathe normally - and dance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much. From the bottom of my heart.
