Urgent rescue! Dodger lamb got caught in yard fencing on a farm in rural NSW and broke his leg in multiple spots. We were contacted to help and his farmer agreed to surrender him into care, dropping him off at a vet for assessment and allowing us to collect him.
It was immediately apparent that Dodger needed a whole rear limb amputation. The local vet stabilised his leg as best they could and gave him pain medication while we frantically coordinated transport to get Dodger to an experienced small ruminant vet for surgery.
It was a long journey as many vets we contacted were unavailable to do the procedure until next week but thanks to the amazing efforts of many caring people from across 2 states working together to save this sweet little guy's life, Dodger is in surgery at a trusted vet clinic having his leg taken off RIGHT NOW!!
Can you help us cover his surgery cost?
Thank you for your support ❤
