<div>“Los hijos del sol”, así decidimos llamarle a este proyecto documental que busca visibilizar las condiciones de vida que enfrentan las familias mexicanas jornaleras, quienes cada año se ven obligadas a migrar en busca de sustento económico.

<div>En México existen aproximadamente 2.3 millones de personas dedicadas al trabajo jornalero agrícola; de ellas, el 94% carece de contrato laboral y el 43% percibe ingresos por debajo del salario mínimo legal.
</div>

<div>La idea germina en el año 2020, cuando Jorge, a través de trabajo fotográfico voluntario con una asociación civil, fue testigo de la precariedad que estos pueblos indígenas migrantes padecen en su trabajo de pizca.
</div>

<div>Al ser un proyecto autogestionado, estamos en busca de recursos para poder cubrir los gastos que conllevará el trabajo de campo, los momentos de acercamiento a los espacios y personas, los tránsitos, alimentos, hospedajes del equipo, así como el equipo técnico que necesitamos.

<div>“Los hijos del sol” is the name we decided to give to this documentary project that seeks to make visible the living conditions faced by Mexican day laborer families, who are forced to migrate every year in search of economic sustenance.

<div>In Mexico there are approximately 2.3 million people working as agricultural day laborers; 94% of them do not have a labor contract and 43% earn less than the legal minimum wage.
