Edit 8/4/2021: Cap and Gown is here! Cap and Gown is here! I'm so exicted! I'll have to do a regalia photoshoot soon. Watch for that update soon. For now, goal has been updated again to $2021. The number amuses me because that's the year of graduation!   Anyway, thank you again, everyone, for whatever you donate and any shares or prayers you give. ❤❤

Edit 8/2/2021: I updated the goal from $1650 to $1950 due to continuely rolling in donations. I have yo say that I am so overwhelmed and appreciative of all the love and support this is gathering.  Since my last update,  I have secured the following items: cap&gown, publication & copyright for my dissertation,  and a few hardcopies of said dissertation for family. I'm tracking down the ability to request additional prints after the fact,  so let me know if having a signed copy of this original work is something that interests you. In the meantime, a huge thanks to everyone who has donated, shared, or sent up a little positive thoughts in my general direction. This week: I see if I can finalize hotel and airfaire! (Maybe. Some of that may have to wait until closer to time.) Thanks again!

Edit 7/20/2021: I have enough now that with help of friends finding me low airfaire and room rates, this trip is covered.  I have once again increased that goal (to $1650 from $1600) to keep this open so others who have been wanting to add to it but haven't yet because pay checks can still do so. All surplus fund are being split between student loans and my child's college savings. Thanks again! 

Edit just before the end of 7/17/2021: You all are amazing! There are no words steong enough to express my gratitude.  I have raised the goal from $1400 to $1600 as the last few donations push me to $1500 (as of this edit). With the behind the scenes work of a few others, I know that this trip is going to be memorable,  and lovely, and.. I will have enough to Pay It Forward to my son and start paying down on my very nearly crippling amount of debt I went into whilst I was completing this milestone. Thank you all again! **

Edit 7/17/2021: Wait.. what? I cant believe this has gotten so much so quickly!  I am honored and blessed and humbled. I cant thank everyone enough.  Once moren I've increased the goal to just above the $1365 I have as of this edit, to ensure this GoFundMe stays open and active. With the funds we have, we are now looking to secure airline tickets for myself, my husband, and my child. Reminder that all surplus will be given to my son as a pay it forward.  Thank you all again so much! **

Edit 7/16/2021: Oh wow! My first goal of $1000 has been reached.  I upped the goal a tiny bit to keep this active. My cap and gown has been ordered! The surplus now goes toward travel and other related expenses. The leftovers will be paid forward to my child's college savings fund. Thank you to everyone who has helped out! You have helped made a dream come true! **

At each amount raised:

• $150 - Rent of the Cap and Gown.
• $450 - Above plus gas for the round trip drive.
• $900 - Own my Cap and Gown plus gas for the round trip drive.
• $1200 - Hotel stay for 2nights ONLY
• $1350 - Hotel plus Regalia Rental
• $1500 - Hotel plus Gas
• $1650 - Hotel plus Gas plus Regalia Rental
• $2100 - Hotel plus Gas plus Regalia Ownership

If those goes insane, I start looking at throwing the excess at my student loans. There's a lot of them, and school teachers don't exactly make 6-digits.
