Doc needs our help

This is Doc, the most gentle, loving horse a person could ever meet - a pretty chestnut who has touched many lives. He needs your help.




Doc is sick, and his vet bills are expensive. Doc, who lives at cozy Venture Stables in Freetown, Prince Edward Island, has taught countless children and adults confidence on the ground and in the saddle. 

He is the first horse everyone meets when they come to Venture. One look into his gentle, soulful eyes and people’s knees go weak. They fall instantly in love. People from all over the world have gotten to know Doc during their visits to P.E.I. He is truly one-of-a-kind; a horse whose kind eyes exude wisdom and trust.

We have so much to learn from Doc, and he has a lot left to teach us.

Venture Stables is an open, welcoming sanctuary in the middle of peaceful Prince Edward Island; Doc is a cornerstone of the stables’ he was owned by the original owner of Venture Stables (Larry Banman) He needs your help in order to get well.

Doc is currently at the Vet college getting treatment.
