Do you want to build a snowman?

As we know, a harsh Michigan winter is on the way (or here already?!) but not everyone is prepared to build their snowman. My goal for this fundraiser is to provide as many children at a Metro-Detroit elementary school with a pair of gloves and hat this season. Last week during the first snow fall many showed up to school with nothing on their hands or head. I have found a wholesale supplier with prices low enough to provide a child with one pair of gloves and a hat for only FIVE DOLLARS. My goal amount is based off giving 20 classrooms at the school at least 10 sets of hats/gloves to be used by their students. (If we raise more, we’ll give to more teachers.) This will be for children that cannot afford these winter essentials or if they forgot theirs at home that day and would like to still attend recess. By providing the teachers classroom's with these extra sets we can be confident more children be warm this season. If you can, any donation of even $5 will make a difference for these children. If you are unable to donate, please share this page and help get the word out to others. Donations of actual gloves/hats would be just as appreciated. I would be happy to meet up with you or give you a drop off address. My goal is to deliver the gloves to the classrooms when they return from holiday break in January.
