Tuition: Masters Degrees for David & Aloria

Donation protected

David Heskin & Aloria Weaver are undertaking master's degrees together at The Prince's Foundation School of Traditional Arts in London!

About the Prince's School - A brief tour

PHASE 3 - IN PROGRESS:
Raising funds to cover 2 years of combined tuition.

We want to show our current collectors and students, future patrons and would-be donors that we are willing to work harder than ever for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so we waited to begin fundraising until we had already been accepted to the school,  moved to London and finished the first third of the program.

People who know us are familiar with the kind of dedication to success that we bring to all of our commitments, and we believe that the people who choose to invest in us deserve to know how serious we are.  This isn't something we are going to do if or when we raise the funds; it has already been initiated, we're wholly committed.. it's happening... and you have the opportunity to be a part of our story.

The prestigious opportunities that are presented to graduates of the Prince's School are myriad.  PFSTA Alumni have contributed to the new Albukhary Foundation Islamic Gallery at the British Museum, and our MA senior tutor was the first person ever commissioned to create a modern carpet for Buckingham Palace.  HRH Prince Charles has collected numerous works from students and tutors of the school and we were fortunate to visit an exhibition of HRH's private art collection, "Prince & Patron" at Buckingham Palace, which included works by recent graduates.

We've spent the past year working on an ambitious business plan for 2020 (after we graduate), which we will share with select sponsors and patrons.  We have a big vision and it's well underway...

PHASE 2 - COMPLETED:
Raising Funds to meet Student Visa Requirements

Our initial financial goal was May 2018  and we met our deadline!
In order for our Student Visas to be approved, we were required to show that we possessed a minimum of 9 months' funds in advance.
We met this first goal through an extremely full year of diligent work: teaching courses around the world, exhibiting and selling paintings,  curating exhibitions and doing events production.  We  paid off all of our debts and saved everything we earned.

Watch a short interview that we gave about our experience teaching annually at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors for the past 5 years.

Our teaching schedule in 2017 was very full!

Teaching together in Colorado at our gallery and studio, Luminous Flux (now closed).

The Global Eclipse Gathering, where we not only taught, we also coordinated all of the art workshops.

Live painting at the McNichols Civic Center in Denver, where we also curated a gallery and co-produced a series of events.

Live painting at CoSM in NY.

Live painting together in Denver, CO.

Sponsors at the NoCO Hemp Expo.

At Axis Gallery in Seattle, WA with our painting "Pandora" (now in a private collection).

PHASE 1 - COMPLETED:
We have both been accepted into a postgraduate program on the basis of our comprehensive experience.

Through extensive proposals, written essays, portfolio submissions and resumés, each of us has been individually recognized in having decades of career experience in lieu of undergraduate degrees.

Studying abroad is far more affordable than studying in the US.  This is the opportunity of a lifetime for us to achieve our post-graduate aspirations...  without a lifetime of debt afterward.

THE PLAN:

Our plan is to fund this postgraduate education by liquidating our vault of Original Artworks,
in essence, transforming decades of hard work into our higher education.

This is an opportune moment to acquire new artwork for your collection while contributing to our profound educational empowerment! There are scores of original paintings and prints to choose from, for every budget.

Click here to visit the page on our website with available artwork.

For those who wish to "feed two birds with one scone" you can simultaneously contribute to our academic future while acquiring one-of-a-kind artwork for your permanent collection.

You can make a donation here on our Go Fund Me page, or follow this link to see original works for sale on our website.  PayPal is also always an option to send funds directly.

THE LONG STORY:
Generally, selling art is a double-edged experience for an artist.  Well-crafted paintings become family heirlooms to be handed down to future generations, while the money exchanged is often spent on daily necessities such as rent and basic living expenses.

Education is one of those special cases where the proceeds from the sale of artwork continues to contribute to the future of the artist in a lasting and meaningful way. The advancement of the artist adds value to the sold works on the art investments market.  As educators ourselves, the new skills we gain are transmitted to our students, serving our community and the next generation of artists.

Through our engagement with the deep wisdom of this unique postgraduate program, we are participating n the re-invigoration of diverse sacred and traditional art forms from around the world. Adding this experience to our extensive research and practice in western painting traditions, we will continue to further the preservation of a multitude of living lineages; something that very few people on the planet have the opportunity or inclination to achieve.

Presenting at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria for the 3rd International Multidisciplinary Scientific Conference on Social Sciences & Arts (SGEM).

Due to the fact that we're studying abroad at a private institution, we are unable to receive federal grants or scholarships. However, we are constantly in search of more promising opportunities for independent channels of support. If you know of a specific grant or scholarship that you think we may be eligible for, please share it with us!
