Koeurn Phe's Memorial Fund

My husband, Koeurn Phe lost his battle to Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma on Monday, August 25th, 2014. Although, he was initially diagnosed in 1996 with a rare type of cancer, he managed to beat the odds and live life fully. It wasn’t until 2010, that a constant throbbing pain in his shoulder caused him to seek out medical attention. There was devastating news. His cancer had returned to his lungs. The doctors said he had a few months to live, but we were fortunate and blessed to have him with us for these past several years. His condition worsened within the last year causing me to take time off work to care for my husband, our three young children, and my ailing mother. Taking time off work has caused many financial hardships. After seeing my struggles, my husband attempted to go back to work to earn more "Paid Time Off" and maintain the health insurance for the family. His attempt did not last long, as his cancer spread throughout his fragile body. His coworkers were kind enough to donate some of their "PTO", but it was not enough to cover daily expenses and medical bills. Since his passing, we have mourned for seven days straight with respect to our culture. This has also caused a financial stress because of the food, beverages, and offerings I must provide to the monks and guests at least twice a day. Although it was a burden, we firmly believe that the 7 days of mourning and prayers will guide his spirit to rest in peace. I would not be able to accomplish this feat without the help from family and friends. The children: Dominique, Donnavin, Michael, and I, would appreciate any donations as it will be used towards medical bills and funeral expenses.  Thank you for all the love and support everyone has shared.
