We are currently making preparations for our inaugural Youth Leadership Symposium, to be held Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the University of Maryland, College Park. Youth registrants (9th-12th grade) will attend interactive workshops on Holistic Mentorship, College Readiness, Youth Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy. They will also hear from a select group of panelists, who will testify to the mindsets and behaviors that allow them to assume leadership roles.
A separate strand of workshops will also be held for parenting adults who want to learn how to help their children gain mastery and understanding in these four areas. Because our desire is to keep the cost of attendance low, we are actively seeking donations and/or underwriting from individuals, foundations and corporations. Every donation is tax deductible, and goes a long way to our goal to serve our youth.
