For the past 6 years Dance Made in Cambodia has been providing children in residential care the chance to participate in a wide variety of dynamic dance and theatre training. Our programs focus on developing creative and critical thinking skills, perseverance and personal resilience - tools which will be indispensable as they prepare to reintegrate into Cambodian society.

This year we will be undertaking another large-scale performance project retelling Shakespeare’s famous Romeo and Juliet in a Cambodian setting. As always we will be tackling some serious issues along the way including deeply entrenched racial prejudices, arranged marriages and personal agency in a developing Asian country.

Your generous donations will help to stage this work by providing much-needed funds for theatre hire, costumes, transportation and the many myriad of expenses entailed in an 8-month rehearsal and performance process.
