Uplift Institute and Academy

The Uplift Institute is a non-profit organization (in progress for 501  (c) 3 status) committed to the educational and socioeconomic empowerment of the community.  During the decade spanning 1996-2006, we organized over 20 college fairs, conducted SAT preparation, GED courses and tutoring networks in which we served over 4000 students in the Philadelphia-Southern New Jersey area.  Our network included over 100 high schools and over 70 colleges and universities. Our mission of higher education success has grown into a comprehensive community empowerment model to include economic development and community leadership training.

We are asking for individuals who support the need to develop self-suffient communities to contribute in assisting us to re-establish our programs. The Uplift Institute promotes opportunity and internal prosperity in communties that struggle with poverty and crime.  The Uplift Academy of the Uplift Institute hosts online courses to be used in hybrid instruction nationally in our vision for Uplift Institute Empowerment Centers nationwide.
