Cyn Takes On Aussie Rugby

With my life continually changing over the last six years, Rugby has continued to be my constant, challenging me to push myself to new heights while remaining my greatest passion. It is because of this that I am proudly accepting an invitation to represent the USA on the Stars Rugby Sevens Team in Australia this coming October. This will be my first tour with the Stars, and my second international rugby tour.
The Stars seek to create opportunities for rugby 7s athletes to thrive via competition in multiple high performance assemblies and tournaments each year. At the Australian Central Coast 7s Tournament we will be facing the Canadian, Brazilian, Fijian and Australian National teams as well as select-side teams from New Zealand and Japan. This competition is the highest level collected outside of an iRB series tournament.
While I continue to dedicate my time and resources to prepare for this incredible opportunity, I am challenged to raise the funds necessary to make this dream a reality. The total cost of this tour reaches close to $4,000 including flights, housing, playing kit, tournament fees, coaching and medic fees.
The last six years of my rugby career have included domestic and international travel, Premiere League 15s and 7s National Titles, Select Side Regional Competition and Olympic Training Camps, all of which have driven me to be a better athlete, teammate and leader. These opportunities would have never been possible without the continued support of my friends and family. Moving forward, any help that you can offer, however big or small, will be instrumental in my journey to play the highest level of women's rugby possible. While simultaneously finding a solution for world peace and ending world hunger, of course. Thanks everyone :)
