Save Seth

POn June 27th we had to 5150 or commit our 11 year old son to a mental hospital. We waited for 27 hours in the ER for official placement.

While waiting in the ER, several adults with mental conditions similar to his came in and recieved temporary care. This is how our mental health system works - revolving door care, the short term solution for a life long condition.

The acute care he received actually worsened his conditions. We contacted every possible hotline, facility, doctor we heard about and almost all have passed us along without heping.

We finally found a facility where he could get help 3 days after being released from acute care. He has been recieving 24-hour care for 3 weeks and is finally starting to progress in treatment. Unfortunetly, insurance feels he doesn't need to continue care at this facility.

We don't want him to live a life lost and trapped in his own mind - in and out of ERs and mental institutions. We want to give him the opportunity to learn coping skills now, while his mind develops, so he can live a life with the tools needed to thrive despite his condition.

ALL the money raised will go directly to helping him get continued care at this facility. Any additional money will be saved for Seth's future.
