Help him walk again!

On May 25, Leon Norris was helping out a friend by cutting down a tree on his property. The tree snapped and Leon fell 45 feet with the tree and sustained multiple traumatic injuries. He suffered multiple fractures to the left side of his face requiring reconstructive surgery, an MCL tear of the right knee, a broken left shin bone, he lost the use of a kidney and he suffered a spinal cord injury that left him partially paralyzed and in a wheelchair. His doctors are very hopeful that he will regain the majority of his mobility and walk again. However, in order for Leon to get the aggressive therapy needed to learn to walk again he needs inpatient rehabilitation. His insurance company is denying his inpatient rehabilitation stay. He is only given so many outpatient physical therapy sessions and they claim this is enough to learn to walk again. It has been left up to Leon and his family to come up with the money to pay for his much needed therapy. The family is not only dealing with issues with their medical insurance and medical bills, but they are also fighting Social Security and currently have no income. Leon’s hope is to strengthen his muscles so that he can learn to walk again and go back to work to continue to support his family as he has always done. Any help is greatly appreciated in helping him and his family get back on their feet. Thank you for your support!
