Anthony Correa Medical Fund

Hey everyone. I'm starting this page in hopes that we can get help for my brother's medical expences. For those who don't know, Anthony was an amazing guitarist, a very disciplined martial artist, and a transmission builder for Coleman Taylor. He was a mentor and teacher to the youth of the city. He focused mainly on those who where in difficult situations with terrible home lives, or those leading a life headed towards crime and drugs. Due to this accident, he may never be able to be these things again, which means he will lose his passions and his career.

As some of you may already know, Anthony was involved in a hit & run accident at high speeds (around 75mph) while he was walking out by his house late Wednesday July 12th evening. We have no leads as to who the driver was at this time, but he was left for dead at the scene.

My brother's injuries, though they could have been a lot worse, are extensive. He has two fractured shoulder blades, one broken shin and torn ligament, bruised lungs, and a shattered arm. He has had 3 surgeries on his arm, soon to be 4, and the doctors haven't even started on the reconstructive process. He has also had 1 surgery on his left leg which now has screws and plates in it to help stabilize his bones. Though most of the injuries are on his left side, the fractured shoulder blade on his right side make it very difficult to move around, leaving him with a bruised right leg to do the work of an entire body. Though the doctors are hopeful that Anthony will regain strength and use of most of his body, Anthony may never be able to use his arm again.

My brother has health isurance, but lacks the means to be able to cover things like physical therapy, medical equipment (shower seat, wheel chair, etc), and so much more. As it stands, he is unable to work and none of us are able to take off work to help him through his recovery once he gets discharged. We are at a loss as to what we can do. It's only by the Grace of God that he is still with us today!!

As most of you know, we are a family that does for ourselves and never asks of anyone if we can help it. However, it is now that we are asking for your help. Anything that you are able to donate helps. We have been blessed that so many people have kept Anthony in their prayers, but we live in a monetary world and unfortunately that can not buy him the things that he is going to need.
