The DJ Bob Show: 9 Years and Counting
I'm DJ Bob Runkel, a podcaster living in Long Island, New York. I have been producing a radio show/podcast hybrid, The DJ Bob Show, since 2010. For nine years this coming July, I have provided a high energy, engaging atmosphere, dedicated to bringing you memories of pop culture past and present. On the show, I typically talk a lot... but in between all that talking, there's music, humor, and memories. To help jog those memories, I take extra pride in finding interview subjects or content that me and my audience can enjoy listening to. I also talk about things going on currently in the entertainment industry, to talk about something you have heard about, or to potentially introduce you to one of your new favorite things.
Nine years is a long time, and you all have been a part of my journey, from my awkward teenage years to the radio host that you see today. To celebrate in style, we are producing a series of shows for the remainder of the year that you are sure to never forget--including new interviews with past guests, retrospective pieces, and brand new surprises that are sure to be some of our best shows yet! In the past we have held interviews with David Hoberman (producer, Wonder), Noel MacNeal (Muppet performer, Bear in the Big Blue House), and George Newell (co-creator/songwriter, Schoolhouse Rock)... Who knows what the future has in store?
In order to continue on to the future ahead, we need some major gear upgrades. The equipment that I have now is not ideal for meeting my physical needs and sometimes makes it challenging to produce content on a consistent basis. Getting the equipment I need enables me to produce these shows more independently.
