Dear Friends and Family,
What a year it has been! I am just about to finish up my second year of teaching 4th grade at Kepler Neighborhood school in downtown Fresno. Just a few short years ago I never thought I’d go back into teaching again, but I can truly say that I’m glad I did! I feel like I’m walking in the purpose God has set for me, and I was meant for this. It hasn’t always been an easy or even a very pretty process, but it has been GOOD, and God has been good to me through it all! He has been showing me his faithfulness so strongly in this season. He always, always, always shows up.
After some time searching here in Fresno, I have finally found a church family at VIA Church. This summer, June 11 – 18 2018, God has given me the opportunity to go to Haiti with a team to serve with an organization called Chances for Children. C4C works through the local church to uplift the children of Haiti with a variety of programs. I will be serving at C4C’s Creche (pronounced “cresh”), which is home to approximately 40 children who are in various stages of their adoption process. I will also serve at C4C’s feeding programs that provide food in partnership with local churches to vulnerable children. As we partner with this ministry and local churches, I will be sharing the love of Jesus Christ in Haiti and I hope to grow in my faith as I serve God in a new setting.
I am so excited to be a part of this trip, and I wanted to invite you to partner with me in this amazing opportunity. The first way you can partner with me is through prayer. Please pray that God would prepare my teammates and I for this experience and bless our efforts as we minister to the people of Haiti. Pray that God would open our hearts and minds to what He wants to teach us. Pray also that God would provide the funds to meet the financial needs of this trip. The cost for this trip is $2100 per person. This brings me to the second way you can partner with me (segue!!!!). Please prayerfully consider supporting this trip financially. Any amount will be helpful as I pursue this opportunity in which I believe God has called me to engage.

I look forward to participating in God’s mission in Haiti in June with your support and sharing with you how God has worked through this team and in my life when I return.
