My name is Valerie Simpson and you may know me as one half of the songwriting, recording, and producing team Ashford & Simpson. It is with great sadness that I must share the news of the passing of one of my dearest and closest friends, D.J. Rogers.
D.J. Rogers was not only one of my best friends for many years, but he was one of the world's most gifted singers, songwriters, producers, recording artists, and managers in the music business. You may recall songs that he penned like "Say You Love Me," "Love Brought Me Back," "Faithful to the End," and so many more. If you don't know his original work, you may have heard samples of his works from such artists as Big Sean featuring E-40, Common, Faith Evans, and Lauryn Hill.
D.J. Rogers may be physically gone but his Legacy must live on. So, I am asking those of you who are family, friends, mentees, and fans of D.J.
