Eric Garlock Benefit

It’s not often in life you meet someone like Eric Garlock. At just 17 years old, he’s spent the past nine years in and out of hospitals, hoping the newest treatment would be the one to help manage his pain. A nearly lifelong battle with Behcet’s Syndrome meant that the carefree spirit of childhood was replaced with a reservoir of strength and resilience.

Yet he never complains. In fact, he rarely says much of anything. Those lucky enough to see beyond the silence know a wonderful, loving and fun person. But now, more than ever, Eric needs your thoughts and prayers.

Eric’s Behcet’s Syndrome has severely progressed and is not responding well to treatment. He’s currently in the pediatric ICU at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, where his team of experts is working closely together to bring him back to good health. It is uncertain how long he will be there and the road to recovery is extensive.
