Dixie’s Blood Transfusion

Everyone meet Dixie! Dixie is one of the most loving dogs a girl could ask for! She has been by my side for a little over 12 years now, and I have had her since she was a puppy. In the past few months we started to notice that Dixie was not acting herself. We had thought maybe it was old age or even arthritis. After 5 visits to the vet, and 2 of them this past week, we have found out that Dixie has an autoimmune disease called Hemolytic Anemia. This is causing her blood to be dangerously thin. When they draw her blood it looks very watery. They took her blood to check her PCV levels and they noticed the levels dropped from 15% to 10% between her last two visits which were 4 days apart. We now have her on 3 different medications to try and help bring those levels up. We go back to the vet on 9/28/22 to retest her blood and her PCV levels. If the levels have not gone up and continue to decline, then that is when she will need an emergency blood transfusion. Without the blood transfusion she will only have hours to days to live instead of weeks to months. Please help us save our Dixie doodles! <3

All donations will be going to help pay for vet visits, medication and the transfusion.
We have already dumped our savings and maxed out credit cards to do what we can. This is why we need your help, every little bit helps including prayers.
