Dear friends, family and those who are able to help. Our dear friend Astrid has been fighting breast cancer for the last 20 months.
After recent hope of being in remission, 5 weeks later the triple negative breast cancer has progressed to stage IV and is back in full force.
Astrid has told her 3 young gorgeous children and loving husband that she would “Fight Like a Lion”.
For Astrid to achieve this the cost to her family will be over $5000 dollars per vial of an immunotherapy drug which is required for the next 12 months and it is not covered by the PBS.
Her minimum cost is going to be in excess of $67,000 for the next 12 months, if we can raise this money it will mean that the costs for her family will drop to a more manageable $800 a vial after that period of time.
Apart from the above there is so many other ongoing costs that we do not even think about when thinking of cancer. Astrid faces dental work due to the chemo destroying her bones & lots of other issues.
Consultancy fees, Scans, Dr Appointments and many more.
We all need a mother’s love, Kiss & Hugs, let’s not let Astrid’s children 9 yo Oscar, 7 yo Carlo & 5 yo Lottie go without their mum.
Astrid is a beautiful person that would help anyone and as our friend we want to help her too.
