HELP OUR BABYGIRL LIVE EASIER

At just 28 weeks, we welcomed the most beautiful tiny little girl into this world. She was so amazing and so strong. She struggled to breathe on her own so she spent much time in the NICU with help from a machine. Each day excelling so much more than doctors ever expected. At just 2 months old she was placed on a SIDS monitor for Sleep Apnea, she was on this monitor until about 3 years old. Since being born she has been diagnosed with any illnesses ranging from Severe Acid Reflux to Kidney Reflux, and so much more to list. Spent most of her years in the hospitals between Raleigh and Chapel Hill. She currently has a specialist for everything from a rare clotting disorder ( #8 in the country diagnosed); Hemophilia/Oncologist, Neurologist, Nephrologist, Endocrinologist, Cardiologist, Gastroenterolist, and so many more. Even becoming a woman is going to be a huge challenge for her/us. As she may have to have transfusions monthly. Now that you know a little about her history, let me tell you about her recent. On September 19th, 2013 while sitting in the lunch room, Kaya had her very first seizure (Grand Mal), after an ambulance ride and further testing her EEG showed what they would expect to see between seizures. On October 27,2013, while at home, Kaya had a second seizure (absence seizure). It was at this moment we knew for her to have the "normal" childhood she wanted, we needed to get her a Seizure Alert Service Dog (Triumphant Tails). We did not however expect the amount it would cost. However, This dog once fully trained can alert Kaya and those surrounding up to 10 minutes before the actual seizure giving her the chance to get somewhere and sit down to prepare for it, while having the seizure the dog will stand over her so that no one steps on her (school, mall, out), and once the seizure is done will help Kaya by standing strong so that Kaya can use her as a crutch to get up. I am also hoping that we will be able to go one step further with "Daisy Mae's" training by teaching her how to save Kaya given she is in a pool or bathtub and has a seizure. So as we prepare for many other ways to raise money as well, we come to you all for your help in helping us make our daughters life a little more safe and "normal". So please " HELP US, HELP HER". There is no donation to small as we are happy and grateful for them all. Thank You and God Bless you all.
