Displaced AmeriCorps Members

Sonoma and Napa schools and students benefit every day from the hard work and dedication of dozens of AmeriCorps members. They work in after school programs in underserved neighborhoods providing tutoring, homework help, healthy snacks and fun exercise. They are modestly paid and many come from out of state to participate in this year a service. Some, now evacuated from their apartments, have to pay for hotel rooms. Others who are staying with friends will lose food and belongings from power outages and smoke damage. It would help greatly to be able to provide them one or two hundred dollars to off set these extra costs as they struggle to get back to work, and the kids they love .
