Hi! My name is Rose and I'm starting this GoFundMe on behalf of all the displaced residents of the Regina Rose Apartments (which consists of 14 units and about 30 people) in Elkins Park (Cheltenham Township.)

 

On Friday June the 25th, we were given 2 hours to gather our belongings and evacuate the building immediately, due to a gas leak and severe structural decay that could have resulted in the collapse of the building. Now the whole structure needs to be rebuilt and while it may take months, many of the residents don't have any place to go. We are starting COMPLETELY from scratch.

We have been betrayed by our landlord, who has a legal obligation to provide us with temporary housing and is aggressively refusing to fulfill this obligation and cooperate with law enforcement. As a group, we are in desperate need of money to find places to stay, hire attorneys, and buy food and other items that were stolen when they threw all of our belongings in the basement storage in the trash (without telling us about it. ) Some of our residents are ill and in need of medical care. Some are elderly, and some have children and young babies.
