Disney's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
A little over a week ago of our beloved dog Disney was attacked in our yard by our other two dogs. She was severely injured in the attack and was rushed to an overnight vet clinic to have her wounds treated and closed. Disney looked like a torn up wrag doll. The vet told us we were going to have to make a tough decision; spend 10's of thousands of dollars and months of rehab to save her life or euthanize her. Ultimately losing her was not an option for us, as she is a beam of love in our household and to anyone who meets her.

Disney was hospitalized for a week, and received over 100 stitches with the majority of the wound being across her neck and left shoulder leading down to her lower elbow. Within a matter of 3 days we had spent over $7,000 in emergency vet bills. She since has gone back to the vet daily for wound treatment as well as bandage changes, which will continue indefinitely until we are able to do so at home. As you'd imagine this has stretched our finances incredibly thin in an already difficult time for all of us. But, no matter what, there was no way we would let her go without a fight and money wasn't going to stop us from doing that.

Our two other dogs who were ultimately responsible for the attack, Troy and Iris are in the rehoming process with a local shelter in Phoenix as well as another in Tucson. Up until this point they had all gotten along and shared our home together happily receiving all the love and support they needed.

If you know myself and Ariel, you'd know we are prideful, hardworking people who wouldn't ask for help if it wasn't truly needed. The circumstances have been dire and we have exhausted all of our options to care for her before surmounting insane credit debt. To anyone who donates, a lot or a little, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. In a distanced time we appreciate any help from loved ones, friends, community members or anyone who hears about Disney's story.

Thank you,
Disney, Jason and Ariel
