SHHH... THIS IS A SURPRISE... We're taking our Mama Tina to Disneyland!
Hi friends and family. As some of you may know, my mother-in-law, Tina, recently lost her husband, Tom Irvine. For the last 5 years he battled an extremely rare degenerative brain disease called "PSP", Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, and his amazing wife walked every moment with him selflessly. I truly believe she lived out her wedding vows of 30 YEARS, "for better or for worse" in one of the most beautiful and challenging ways.
Tina has been Tom's wife, lover, and friend, but as the disease progressed and worsened, she also became his 24-hour nurse, home doctor, caregiver, and so much more. I have watched as she gave all of herself to her husband in ways no one would ever wish to.
Due to the nature of this disease, and the full-time care it required of her, it became more and more difficult for her to get time outside of the house with friends or family, or for herself.
When asked what her favorite thing in the world would be, every time she will always answer, "time with my family!" And that's exactly what we want to give her...
As her kids (Jeff, Aaron, Chloe, and Shaun), we want to take her and a friend of her choice to Disneyland and the Disney Hotel for 2 days and 3 nights, as soon as possible.
We are asking friends, family, and anyone who would want to give to this amazing woman, to contribute to this family vacation by November 30th so we can book our time there.
This goal of $5,000 includes funds for Tina, her kids, and a friend of hers. This donation covers the 5% taken out from GoFundMe, a 3-night hotel stay, 2-day Disneyland Park Passes, and all food.
