Special Education in Ghana is given very little attention. The glaring lack of tailored educational programs and interventions for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, and the lack of support for Special Education Institutions inspired the creation of The Dislabelled Organization, also known as Dislabelled.
After focusing on special education and autism for five years, our future plans include focusing on physical disabilities and other cognitive disabilities and further looks to provide skills training and employment opportunities for people with physical disabilities.
Dislabelled D.R.E.A.M. (Developing, Reaching out, Equipping, Advocating for and Mentoring) Institute is founded on the belief that if persons with disability are provided with the right support and opportunities, they can become productive and self-reliant.
This is a fundraiser to help build the Dislabelled D.R.E.A.M. Institute to help people like Dennis achieve their dream of working and becoming self-sufficient.
