You might’ve already heard, but I have decided to join a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with an organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Within this past year I have decided to fully give my life to the Lord and I am amazed with the doors that have been opened ever since! I believe that God has given me a passion and calling to pursue missions and attending this DTS is a step closer in living a life for Him. I am planning on going to Oakhurst, California to attend the upcoming DTS.
To attend this school, I need to personally fundraise. Every student and member of YWAM is solely funded on a personal support base. What is YWAM? YWAM is a global missions’ movement that is dedicated to fulfilling the final command that Jesus gave us, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded for you.” Matthew 28:19-20 – This is the heart of YWAM, our purpose.
Within this 6-month journey I will be based in California for 3 months attending school and learning His word and learning how I can best live through Him and for Him. The next 3 months I will be overseas using all that I have learned to reach the unreached and spread His amazing word and grace to kids, elders, and families that have not yet been saved by the Lord, as well as traveling to the Caribbean on a medical ship supplying help to all those that have been impacted by our recent hurricanes. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to be apart of all of this. As a child of God, I know that I am in His hands and I am confident that He will provide for what He has called me to do. I believe that God will provide through the support of my family and friends.
I would like to ask if you would be so kind as to say a quick prayer for me as I begin to take another step in my walk, I pray that He uses and lives through me in ways I could never imagine and to truly change the lives of those who will be affected by His grace. I would also love if you would consider joining my support team. I would like to ask you to consider joining in the amount of however much God leads you to. I have no idea what you might be able to do, but it would be such an honor to have you invest in this. Whatever the outcome, know that you are constant on my heart and I care so deeply about every single one of you!!!!!
