My name is Tina Salgado and I am from Michigan. Many of you know my husband is from a large family in a small town in Mexico. On September 19,2017 a terrible earthquake hit not only Mexico City but the state of Morelos and specifically my husband, Ricardo's immediate family and their children and children's children. Houses were destroyed and whole families were left homeless and without anything. The situation is desperate as power is out in 80% of the state. Food, water and basic needs are in short supply. All of the money raised will go directly to the family in care of Ricardo's oldest brother, Humberto Salgado. Humberto is a trusted member of the family and the community. We will be either turning the funds over to him via bank account or giving directly to him. The funds raised will go to fulfill their immediate physical needs and for care in the days to come as all basic services, including jobs, and medical care have ceased completely. This wonderful, generous family has spent the days since the earthquake tending to the needs of others. The family is large and includes many small children and a month old baby. Let me be clear, they have not asked for anything. Please look around at all of your blessings and share with this amazing family.
